This afternoon I visited Frank with my husband and sons! Frank enjoyed the company of his nephews; they were constantly in discussion who was going to push Frank in the wheelchair. When leaving the Rondeel, the downhill slope worried me a bit; I was afraid they couldnt keep Frank from flying down in his wheelchair. But Bram (a proud 7 year old) told me all the time: do you see I can keep it right? I'm so strong!
The talking to Frank in the Rondeel was about his trip on friday night. Getting the taste of going out he told me he wanted to attend the club one time... the wheelchair cab is known and discovered! But the pub where Casus Belli meets is a problem: there are no possibilities for wheelchair and handicapped people. So I said I would make a question to the blog: is there a clubhuis/wijkcentrum/kantine van een voetbalclub or something like that where Casus Belli could gather one time in order to give Frank the opportunity to attend the club one time.....?

If Mohammed can't come to the mountain, the mountain should come to Mohammed. So members of CB should go to YOUR place instead of you going through awkward transportation. Or I should come and visit you to play a game, though my choice of games is pretty limited (Memoir'44, Twilight Struggle, Ardennes, Fallschirmjäger, etc.)

BeantwoordenVerwijderenEen snel antwoord. Er zijn twee problemen voor een bezoek van Frank aan Casus Belli (CB). Het eerste is toegang van het vervoer en het tweede is toegang tot café "De Verdieping". En voor beiden is er een oplossing.
Vervoer van Kalorama (of SMK) hoeft niet per rolstoeltaxi, er zijn ten minste twee mensen binnen CB die nu al bereid zijn om het aanbod voor een instructie door het personeel van het SMK te volgen en op die manier alternatief vervoer aan te bieden. (En niet alleen voor een bezoek aan CB.)
Café "De verdieping" heeft een kelder, waar CB normaal gesproken speelt en het café op de begane grond. Tijdens zondagen wordt regelmatig op beide plaatsen gespeeld. De begane grond is zeker bereikbaar voor Frank, de kelder niet. Blijft er nog een onvriendelijke drempel over om binnen te komen. Het is (in mijn ogen) geen probleem voor CB of café "De Verdieping" om Frank te ontvangen en om een spel op de begane grond te spelen.
Volgens mij is het geen probleem voor Frank om Casus Belli te bezoeken. Er zijn reeds gesprekken geweest tussen enkele CB-leden om te kijken naar de mogelijkheden. Laten we eerst kijken wat er nu mogelijk is en wat Frank kan en wil.
